NFL Fans
I loved the quotes in this article - the ones in Bold at the bottom:
By Mark Alesia, The Indianapolis Star
BALTIMORE — On airplane banners, T-shirts and signs, and from the depths of their lungs, Baltimore Ravens fans created a charged atmosphere of anti-Colts, anti-Irsay sentiment Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium.
For Brian Austin of Indianapolis, wearing a Colts jersey made him the object of taunts that bordered on something else.
"We had a few instances where we were scared," Austin said before the game. "I went to the Kansas City playoff game three years ago. It was nothing like this. This is intense. I bet there were 300 people on that bridge. They were all booing us and flipping us off."
Brett Butler, of Evansville, Ind., who was with Austin, described some of the taunts.
"One said, 'You left in a Mayflower, now you're going to leave in a hearse,'" Butler said. "Another said, 'You know, the murder rate in Baltimore is not good.'"
